RSPB Minsmere enjoys woodland, coastal and wetland scenery with an abundance of wildlife for everyone to enjoy. If you are new to birdwatching their volunteer guides will help you spot some of Minsmere’s special wildilfe. The children will enjoy the Wild Zone and Wild Wood Adventure where they can amongst other things build dens or go on a mini beast hunt.
If you prefer not to stray too far from your log cabin we have an abundance of wildlife which can be seen from the comfort of your lodge including Great Spotted and Green Woodpeckers, Red, Roe and Muntjac Deer as well as our resident ducks who enjoy our lake and now is the perfect time of year to enjoy the new ducklings.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust have numerous reserves dotted around Suffolk the nearest being Framingham Mere. They are also giving us advise on how to attract more species to our own site in Saxtead.
