Ready for You to Celebrate
For the festive period, our authentic wooden lodges with hot tubs in Suffolk are decorated with beautiful lights ready for your arrival. Inside your lodge, you’ll find a beautiful Christmas tree tastefully decorated with lights and baubles ready for a pile of your presents underneath.
All our lodges have lovely underfloor heating and gas coal effect stoves to ensure you and your family are warm and cosy no matter how cold it is outside.
The kitchens in each lodge are fully-equipped with everything you’ll need to start preparing and cooking your Christmas meal, including roasting pans, crockery, serving dishes and gravy boats. Clearing up after your meal will be quick and easy because each of our lodges is equipped with a dishwasher.
If you don’t fancy cooking every night during your festive stay, a short stroll across Saxtead Green will find you at The Old Mill House pub which offers a delicious seasonal menu.
A Unique New Year’s Eve
We offer wonderful New Year’s Eve cabin breaks for those who want to see in 2019 with style! Watch the stars while sipping champagne from the comfort of your own hot tub. Windmill Lodges offers both week-long (7-night) breaks and shorter (3 and 4-night) breaks around New Year’s Eve.
On New Year’s Day, there are countless beautiful coastal walks nearby, including the much-loved Aldeburgh-to-Thorpeness walk, or take some time to stroll with family and friends down the picturesque Southwold pier.
Local Family Activities
There are a huge range of nearby activities for the whole family to enjoy while you stay with us at Windmill Lodges.
For dog-walkers, we have two pet-friendly cabins – Woodpecker and Wagtail Lodges. Woodpecker Lodge will sleep up to 6 people when using the comfy sofa bed in the living room and Wagtail Lodge sleeps up to four people (plus your dog!). Both come equipped with a dog lead and two dog bowls for food and water.
There are many lovely dog walks within easy reach of Windmill Lodges, including the range of beautiful nearby beaches – all of which welcome your canine companion after 30th September.
Nearby Framlingham has a great twice-weekly market which sells fresh, local produce, while the town’s famous castle will be open from December 27-31 inclusive.
