Latest from our social media:

Sunday 26th November:
It’s that time of year again. As a family we have always taken part in stir up Sunday, although it does take a while for everyone to have a turn when you have such a large family! With the Christmas pudding being made, we have also started thinking about the festive goodies we need to order to put in the welcome packs for our log cabins. There is always lots to do at this time of year but so nice that we always make time for family traditions. Do you have any Christmas family traditions? We’d love to hear them

Thursday 23rd November:
We love it when you bring your pets to stay with us. We have welcomed so many different breeds of dogs staying in our pet friendly cabins that we thought it would be really lovely to create a little gallery of our 4 legged guests. If you have any photos we would love to see them.

Sunday 19th November:
One of the nicest parts of our job here at Windmill Lodges is when we hear from guests that they have always wanted to stay in a real log cabin. We know they are in for a treat as our cabins are very traditional and made from whole logs! Cosy and warm especially at this time of year, they are the perfect place to escape to for a couple of days. Do you have a favourite log cabin you always choose to stay in? Let us know in the comments.

Thursday 16th November:
Looking for something different to try on your next stay with us? How about astronomy? We have a telescope for hire and a recent guest was delighted when he was able to see Jupiter! If you are staying with us this weekend, you may be interested to know that National Trust Dunwich Heath has a family stargazing event on 17th & 18th November. Check their website for more details.

Sunday 12th November:
Never forget

Thursday 9th November:
We love adding a splash of colour to our lodges and think this bright pink in Greenfinch makes it look really cosy. It’s the only three bedroom log cabin we have on our site and perfect for large family getaways, relaxing with friends or for three of you staying if you all want a bedroom each! We thought it might be worth mentioning that it’s available for Christmas and New Year if you are planning on doing something different this year. Please get in touch if you would like more details.

Sunday 5th November:
We thought we’d share some of the pretty Autumn colours and reflections from our site for you this weekend. Have a lovely Sunday.

Thursday 2nd November:
How is it November already? Lots to look forward to if you are staying with us this month. From fantastic local theatre productions to walks along the coast. Of course once you’ve arrived and checked in, you really don’t have to go anywhere if you don’t want to! Sometimes all you need to do is just relax in your cosy log cabin. Here is a link to our availability if you are planning a few days away. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sunday 29th October:
The clocks may have gone back this weekend, but our log cabins do come into their own at this time of year. What’s not to love about a dip in the hot tub gazing at the stars before returning to relax in your cosy log cabin. What is your favourite time of year to stay with us?

Sunday 22nd October:
For an extra touch of luxury and relaxation, Kingfisher Lodge is a perfect choice. As well as a hot tub, it has a sauna too! It’s a great way of enjoying some well deserved pamper time surrounded by the peaceful suffolk countryside. If you would like more information on this lodge you will find it here

Thursday 19th October:
With so much to see and do in the local area if you are staying with us during half term, you will be spoilt for choice! Did you know Framlingham Castle is just a short drive away, so it’s perfect for having some halloween half term fun as you explore the castle and listen to stories told by their spooky storytellers! Here are a few more ideas for half term you might like to add to your list

Sunday 15th October:
Autumn is one of our favourite seasons here at Windmill Lodges. We really enjoy seeing the changing colours around our site and love that there is still so much to see and do in the local area. What is your favourite thing to do in Autumn?

Thursday 12th October:

Sunday 8th October:
Not that you need an excuse when on holiday with us, but with the darker mornings making it more difficult to get up why not embrace it and have breakfast in bed!

Thursday 5th October:
We are always excited to see Autumn colours arrive on our site. This #throwbackthursday photo from last year gives you a flavour of what to expect if you are staying with us soon.
