Luxury accommodation

Featuring spacious accommodation which has been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with high quality furnishings and all the creature comforts, our log cabins have been designed to make your stay as luxurious as possible and create an experience you’ll want to repeat, time and again.

Each of our lodges, which can accommodate between 2 and 8 people, have been designed and furnished with our guests in mind. We have catered for couples looking for romantic weekend breaks, for families with young children and for large groups of friends, ensuring in each case that we provide the highest levels of quality, comfort and service.

All our lodges come with a coal effect feature fireplace and an amply stocked modern kitchen with microwave, full size cooker and fridge. Home entertainments are well catered for too and include colour TV with free to air digital channels, video and DVD, CD player, radio and free Wifi. In addition, you will find all the linen that you’ll need for your holiday, together with some lovely fresh, clean bathrobes for you to use on the veranda or around your own private hot tub.

Warm and snug

All our lodges are of round pine log construction, offering extremely good insulation. They are cool in the summer months and are double glazed, remaining warm in winter. This together with their gas coal effect fires, mean that they can be enjoyed throughout the year, regardless of exterior temperature.

All of our lodges have under floor heating in the living areas and kitchens, with Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch and Bullfinch having it throughout including the bedrooms which have wooden floors with rugs. Wagtail, Woodpecker and Kingfisher have carpeted bedrooms and radiators and all are kitted out with warm and snug towels and bedding.

Close to nature

During spring, summer and autumn, get closer to nature and dine outside. Each lodge benefits from an outside dining area on the veranda complete with furniture and a barbecue. Enjoy the sunshine as you dine al-fresco or sit out under the stars enjoying the warm summers evenings as you chat and plan the following day’s excursion. Each of our lodges looks out over a delightful lake that attracts bird and wildlife from across the region. It is a joy to sit and watch nature at work whilst you relax on the veranda, glass of wine in hand, after a pleasant day of sightseeing around the local towns and villages.

Windmill Lodges are ideally located close to the old market towns of Woodbridge and Framlingham. There are many interesting and historical sites in the area and some fine country walks incorporating areas of outstanding natural beauty. Old restored watermills and ancient castles abut wonderful beach scenes and what better way to enjoy them, than knowing that your excursion will end with your return to a luxurious log cabin and your very own private hot tub.

Family friendly

Our private self catering accommodation is very well suited to families as it allows you the privacy and freedom to do exactly what you want to do, when you want to do it. You are free to come and go as you please, planning your holiday time to suit your own rhythm.

All of this freedom gives you the opportunity to explore the local area and plans meals to fit around your timetable. You can choose where to eat, cooking at your cabin at times and trying the fare of local pubs and restaurants at others.

Very romantic

Log cabins make for wonderfully romantic couple’s hideaways. Imagine your own private log cabin, set deep in the heart of the rural Suffolk countryside. You are close to towns and villages for your essential food supplies and meals out, but you might just as well be miles from anywhere. Your cabin is kitted out to 4 or 5 star standards and comes complete with everything you’ll need for a truly enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Depending on your choice of cabin, there are four poster or King size beds and gas coal effect fires and each cabin has its own private hot tub so after the day’s sightseeing or walking on the beach, you can relax with your favourite tipple by the fire or in the tub gazing up at the stars.
